A Very Starkid Album - Various Artists
This one includes music from A Very Potter Sequel, along with covers of songs from AVPM and Little White Lie. I seriously cannot stop listening to this album. I love all the songs, "Stutter" is hilarious and "Those Voices" makes me want to cry. I wasn't going to buy this at first, but I'm glad I did :)

A Very Potter Sequel - Various Artists
This includes the 5 songs from AVPS that were not included on the Starkid album. I am soooo glad that this I was finally able to download these songs. I've been waiting for "Guys Like Potter" and, of course, I've been listening to it constantly since I got this album. I've also taught my 5 year old cousin the entire "Hermione Can't Draw" song, and the first part of "Harry Freakin' Potter"..I feel like my life is complete.

Human - Darren Criss
Seeing a pattern here? I love this EP, its been playing in pretty heavy rotation since I bought it. My faves are "Human" and "Don't You," plus the new versions of "Sami" and "Not Alone." I would love to see him live one day *crosses fingers*

Itunes Live from Soho - Civil Twilight
Wow, something non-Starkid related. I found this on iTunes when my friend and I were searching for their cover of "Teardrop" (which I'm completely obsessed with). I really like listening to live versions of their songs. Steve's voice is so flawless live, its amazing.
So, that's it for now. If you haven't already, go check out AVPM/AVPS on youtube. It won't disappoint.
Cd Review 1/1/10
Jan. 1st, 2010 08:55 pmI am so burnt out from Christmas, that I haven't even wanted to make anything :( But I can't completely neglect my journal...so...music reviews!!
I went to the mall today to use up some more giftcards, and I got 3 new CDs.

Kill Hannah - Wake Up The Sleepers
The new album from Kill Hannah. I've been a fan of Kill Hannah for a while, and I'm gonna be completely honest and say that I so did not expect much of this album. Jon has always been my absolute favorite in the band and, without him, it doesn't seem like KH anymore. Its not that bad though. Its definitly not their best (For Never and Ever still holds the title), but it is a solid album. Highlights are "Strobe Lights" and "Acid Rain."

Butch Walker - Sycamore Meadows
I'm honestly shocked that it took me this long to pick this up, I got it just in time before his new album comes out next month. Butch has to be the most underrated musician out there, completely genius but no one really knows who he is. Anyway, another epic album from Mr. Walker, as all his albums are. Highlights are "Weight of Her," "ATL," "Here Comes The...," and "Ponce de Leon Ave."

Adam Lambert - For Your Entertainment
Again, I wasn't really expecting much from this album; Adam Lambert's debut. I loved him on AI (although I loved Kris equally as much) but hadn't really like what I'd heard of the album. It does have a few awesome tracks, "For Your Entertainment," "Time For Miracles," "Whataya Want From Me," "Strut," and "Broken Open." But I found it really difficult to get into the album. The songs were decent, but it couldn't really keep my attention. Maybe its one that you need to be in the mood for.

Gift Cards are AMAZING
Dec. 28th, 2009 04:21 pmI was going through my wallet the other day, and I realized I had ALOT of half used gift cards. My mom and I had been planning a shopping day, so I checked the remaining balances, and went out today. I LOVE being a smart shopper. I'm so proud of my purchases, I had to make a post (that....or I have entirely no life..)
FYE

I had about $7 left on a card, so I went in and picked up the Glee Vol. 1 soundtrack, which was on sale for $12. Only ended up spending $8.
Barnes and Noble

I've been eye-ing this game for a while..Every time I'd go into Borders, I'd drool over this game. I had about $13 left on a Barnes and Noble gift card, so I stopped in. As I was walking back to look for a book, I passed a 50% off table, with this game on top. It had originally been $40, but was on sale for $20. I ended up spending $8 for it.
Bath and Body Works

This is, by far, the best purchase of the day. I had 2 gift cards to Bath and Body Works, both with about $7 on them. When I got to the store, I found out that pretty much everything was on sale. Their signature collections were on sale, buy 2 and get 1 free. I'm running low on my Honeysuckle shower gel, so I grabbed that, then went around checking everything out. I had heard good things about the other scents, so I picked up some hand creams (Sea Island Cotton is well on its way to becoming my favorite scent). I ended up spending $8 after using the gift cards.
I <3 that the NY Giants play in Jersey
Sep. 12th, 2009 05:18 pm1. I'm going with my dad tomorrow to see my very first NFL football game. Its the Giants' home opener, and it will be amazing. Our seats are 3 rows from the very, very top of the stadium. My whole family is convinced I'm going to have a panic attack....let's hope not!
2. I just got back from seeing Julie & Julia...and now I want to do the same thing, except with the Hungry Girl cookbooks.
3. Vampire Diaries = HORRIBLE show, with an amazing soundtrack. *sigh* I might just watch it if they keep it up with the music.

My parents are the best....everrr
May. 5th, 2008 11:24 pm1. My old iPod died a few months ago (I got it as a hs grad present back in 2005....R.I.P. Metallipod)...my parents told me, at the time, that I could either get a new ipod, or I could get tickets to see Rent on broadway...I chose Rent.
Yesterday, my parents went out to look at new lawnmowers, and when they came home...they said that they had bought a small thing for me...then handed me a new ipod. I about freaking died!!
Its a cute little hot pink nano...I have named it the Metallipod II....and it shall keep me entertained this weekend when I spend 257392827 hours in a car to go down to NYC to see Rent, come home, then leave again the next morning to go back down to NYC to go to a Mets game. :-D
2. My last class is tomorrow....WOOT!!!!!
3. Gavin DeGraw's new CD comes out tomorrow too...I'm think I may need to stop at the store on the way home...
4. I am obsessed with Ludo's "Love Me Dead". I Cannot.Stop.Listening.To.It....oyyyy

Time for a change...
Oct. 19th, 2007 10:14 pmI'm bored of just posting my crafty stuff...so I'm gonna start posting about music, because I feel the need to ramble on about my psychotic addiction...
1. "Paralyzer" by Finger Eleven and "Wake Up Call" by Maroon 5 need to stop being played on the radio for the simple fact that they are now permanently in my head..ugh!
2. Next Great American Band=Love! Its cheesy in the extreme, but John Rzeznik is awesome (and a much better judge than I thought he would be)
3. New favorite song...for the moment
4. Getting TSO tickets this weekend, hopefully *crosses fingers*. If I don't get to see them, I will be pissed.
