A Very Starkid Album - Various Artists
This one includes music from A Very Potter Sequel, along with covers of songs from AVPM and Little White Lie. I seriously cannot stop listening to this album. I love all the songs, "Stutter" is hilarious and "Those Voices" makes me want to cry. I wasn't going to buy this at first, but I'm glad I did :)

A Very Potter Sequel - Various Artists
This includes the 5 songs from AVPS that were not included on the Starkid album. I am soooo glad that this I was finally able to download these songs. I've been waiting for "Guys Like Potter" and, of course, I've been listening to it constantly since I got this album. I've also taught my 5 year old cousin the entire "Hermione Can't Draw" song, and the first part of "Harry Freakin' Potter"..I feel like my life is complete.

Human - Darren Criss
Seeing a pattern here? I love this EP, its been playing in pretty heavy rotation since I bought it. My faves are "Human" and "Don't You," plus the new versions of "Sami" and "Not Alone." I would love to see him live one day *crosses fingers*

Itunes Live from Soho - Civil Twilight
Wow, something non-Starkid related. I found this on iTunes when my friend and I were searching for their cover of "Teardrop" (which I'm completely obsessed with). I really like listening to live versions of their songs. Steve's voice is so flawless live, its amazing.
So, that's it for now. If you haven't already, go check out AVPM/AVPS on youtube. It won't disappoint.
Cd Review 1/1/10
Jan. 1st, 2010 08:55 pmI am so burnt out from Christmas, that I haven't even wanted to make anything :( But I can't completely neglect my journal...so...music reviews!!
I went to the mall today to use up some more giftcards, and I got 3 new CDs.

Kill Hannah - Wake Up The Sleepers
The new album from Kill Hannah. I've been a fan of Kill Hannah for a while, and I'm gonna be completely honest and say that I so did not expect much of this album. Jon has always been my absolute favorite in the band and, without him, it doesn't seem like KH anymore. Its not that bad though. Its definitly not their best (For Never and Ever still holds the title), but it is a solid album. Highlights are "Strobe Lights" and "Acid Rain."

Butch Walker - Sycamore Meadows
I'm honestly shocked that it took me this long to pick this up, I got it just in time before his new album comes out next month. Butch has to be the most underrated musician out there, completely genius but no one really knows who he is. Anyway, another epic album from Mr. Walker, as all his albums are. Highlights are "Weight of Her," "ATL," "Here Comes The...," and "Ponce de Leon Ave."

Adam Lambert - For Your Entertainment
Again, I wasn't really expecting much from this album; Adam Lambert's debut. I loved him on AI (although I loved Kris equally as much) but hadn't really like what I'd heard of the album. It does have a few awesome tracks, "For Your Entertainment," "Time For Miracles," "Whataya Want From Me," "Strut," and "Broken Open." But I found it really difficult to get into the album. The songs were decent, but it couldn't really keep my attention. Maybe its one that you need to be in the mood for.
