Went to Jo Ann's a few weeks ago since my sewing machine was finally fixed, and I wanted to sew something. I practically attacked the remnant pile and found the best fabric.

PILLOW #1:

This is the best fabric EVERR!! It has a bunch of thought/talk bubbles with sports related phrases. Since my bff and I are sports obsessed, I made us a matching set of these pillows. One side has the white fabric, and the other has the black.

PILLOW #2:

My mom saw this fabric and fell in love. When I mentioned I was making the sports pillows, she asked if I would make her a pillow out of this fabric...and I, being the awesome daughter that I am, made it for her.

PILLOW #3:

Last pillow for now. i loved the pattern of the fabric. My mom suggested making this type of pillow (I call it the candy pillow). My first time hemming a raw edge, and it didn't come out too bad. Still need to do something to cover up the thread where I tied the ends.

I've had this skirt since I was in high school. I outgrew it a while ago, but I thought I could do something with it.

It was a denim mini that had very little shape to it...it was basically a square, so all I did was sew across the bottom.

I had gotten some cool floral print fabric at Jo Ann's from the remnant pile, so I used that to make the strap.

This was really a project of firsts...it was the first time I made my strap pretty (usually I would just take strips, sew them together, then to the bag)...I doubled sided themso there were no raw edges. It was also the first time I used a strong box to attach the strap to the bag..I was so nervous since my sewing isn't always the prettiest, but it actually came out looking good!!

And here's the whole thing. The body of the bag was plain so I added a pin my friend gave me for my b-day, and I plan on adding a stencil of a band, done in the colors of the strap.

Last one for today...I swear

Anyone remember Salute Your Shorts? That awesome Nick show from the 90's.
I was looking up old TV shows that I loved, and I found the logo, so I decided to make a shirt.

I printed out the logo, and cut it out.
I had to custom mix the paint (my first time) since I didn't have a dark red that I liked. I also kept some places in the stencil lighter than others, hoping to give it that old, distressed look (hey, it is from the 90s..lol).

The next day, I cut the collar off since it was choking me, and made it off the shoulder. I still need to hem that, but I can't until I by some more bobbins and yellow thread.
